Decent entry-level 5.8 Ghz phone
This is a member of the latest line of 5.8 Ghz phones. This phone utilizes Digital Spread Spectrum (DSS) for privacy. This also has the benefit of digital sound quality. No Static.

Horrible Phone
The phones volume was very low and the highest setting was barely acceptable. The keypad/buttons begin to stick and fail after less than a year of usage and it's proven impossible to find replacement parts. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Avoid this phone or return it before it's too late. Volume and clarity completely unacceptable (loudest setting not loud; reception poor when standing next to base). GE 25830 5.8 ghz
This is easily the worst phone I have ever purchased. After I initially charged it I noticed the phone got hot when left on the base. Called GE they said dont leave phone on base only put it there to charge. So I used the phone utill it quit then left it overnight for a charge, worked for 3 months... Read full review »
I could not adjust the ring tone volume.
It seemed like a very nice looking phone. Why GE would put out a phone without the ability to adjust the volume of the ring tone, I don't understand. Spend your money on a phone that will work 3 months from now
Like the previous reviewer said, the battery on my GE 25830 dies literally after 5-10 minutes of taking it out of the charge station. I've only had the phone for a couple months, what junk. A new battery is $14.95, which I'm sure would also burn out in a few months.
