when it works...
Since I've had this washer, it's been broken twice for a total of a month. The washer stops mid-cycle and the door locks closed so you can't get the clothes out until you pull the plug.
Sears service is unprepared to repair it and must send to the manufacturer for the part.

first unit bad new one fine
It seems to clean things well with very little detergent, but it sounds like it wants to taker off for Mars. We just got it and I can not imagine that the unit is not defective. Washing is quiet, spin is a debacle.
We are calling the dealer today to get this thing replaced.

I'll never go to a top loader again
I got mine on a special closeout and it's been great to me in the 4 months that I've owned it. Up until this point I had never had a dryer with a rack, but now I can wash my sneakers and hats without hearing the "clunk clunk" of shoes bouncing around the dryer and my tennis visors dry right into... I have now had this stacked unit for over 2 years, and it has performed well. GLEH1642FS - Better with buzzer disabled.
I have the GLEH1642FS model. Very happy with the machine, aside from the fact that it has a loud and irritating buzzer/alarm.
