bytravelreporter Dec 30, 2008
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros NONE
Cons Over heated, gears striped out on it, jammed all the time.
Recommended it? No

You should know it over heats and shuts down after a few pieces of mail put in it.
I called the  FELLOWS people they just laughed at me.
That's a matter of speaking they didn't do a thing to help me out.
Just said, I should buy a competers machine if I was not satisfied with... Read full review »

Great Beginner SLR

bymm86 Oct 9, 2007
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Easy to use
Cons There are a lot of options that can be initially overwhelming
Recommended it? Yes

This is a great camera for beginners. It's definitely more advanced than a simple point and shoot, but at the same time it's pretty easy to use. The user guide is really helpful explaining how to use the different amenities included on the camera. Read full review »

award winning pics..feel like a pro

Pros INCREDIBLE PICS.. you want a camera for great pics..
Cons weight, learning curve(?), initial expense
Recommended it? Yes

This has options.. omg sooo many options. The more I started to learn, the more scared I got.. adjusting speed.. I dunno how to do that. But, the good news is if you know how to do that.. it allows you to adjust that. If you don't, like me, you can still take great pics without the know-how. So I... Read full review »

I don't care for it

bypat52 Oct 1, 2007
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros speed
Cons Poor color, not the best paper set-up, confusing and frustrating at first
Recommended it? No

I have an old HP 720C Deskjet that puts the ip4300 to shame except in speed--that's it. The paper set-up is a bit bizarre--flopping over the top and unprotected so it can waffle with humidity or crammed in the little tray. This printer was hard to figure out at first. The paper output tray that... Read full review »

HUGE jump from point-shoot

The D40 for the price is the best deal out there for a starter DSLR. For about the price of a better point-n-shoot you can buy this DSLR & WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!

Real photogs will be up in the $2000.00+ price range for their units & that's fine; but for... Read full review »

Cheaply made POS

byhoplophile Aug 18, 2007
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Good printer (when it works)
Cons Cheaply made, no durability, not dependable, interdependent ink tanks
Recommended it? No

Not a bad printer at first - good quality and speed, but in a very short period of time it failed to "see" the yellow ink tank, and no matter how many times it was replaced, it never got over it. Of course, it doesn't matter that you aren't printing something that even requires the yellow tank, if... Read full review »

I had been a Mini disc fan for couple of years, when Apple Computers came out with their iPod Mini. I selected the iP4300 based on reviews. I purchased it at my local Office Depot. I had heeded the advice of other reviewers and gotten a USB cable; the printer comes without a printer cable.

My hp 7760 was getting long in the tooth. Actually I was getting bored with it and decided to get a new printer. A poor reason but what the hey. I looked through all the printer reviews I could find and the ip4300 seemed, if not in the top 3 spots, at least in the top ten. To be fair, this printer... Read full review »

Pros Great starter DSLR, enough lenses at this time with more to come.
Cons Did not come with rear LCD clear screen protector.

I bought this camera after a lot of thought and study. It was the old toss up with the canon eos400 and the Nikon D40. Then the D40x was released and I could not be happier. Pros Lightweight camera, beautiful pictures, sharp lenses
Cons small viewfinder and only 3 focal points
Recommended it? Yes

I just bought this camera from Costco and love it. Came with the 18-55mm and 55-200mm Nikkor lenses. VERY easy to use and allows for beautiful pictures.

Basically, Nikon is trying to give the beginner a medium to use that is novice-oriented, yet yields semi-professional results.

I've only had the MS450Cs for about 2 weeks now but it is fantastic. It shreds so fine that no-one could put it together even with a microscope. How to Upgrade a Disaster

bysailingshot Mar 21, 2007

Pros Nikon quality, superb image quality when used with better AF-S glass
Cons Tiny lens selection since it only works with AF-S lenses

An Upgraded Disaster
Well, Nikon must believe in the D40 because now they've upgraded the sensor to 10 MP. Beyond that the new version also offers a lower ISO setting of 100 and a slightly faster frame rate of 3 FPS compared tro 2.5 FPS. Physically they look and feel identical.
