Bought this car seat new and only have had it two years. Has NEVER been in a car accident. Went to put my son in his car seat and when I went to push the release button the untighten the harness it would not click and allow the harness to untighten. I purchased this seat when my second child was born. The idea of a seat that could be used from birth on was appealing to me. The seat was very easy to install and come with great instructions. The padding for infants was just right and seemed very comfortable for my daughter. The car seat itself... Read full review »

I loved this car seat, as did my daughter. Unfortunately she's grown out of it. She was completely comfortable in it and the sides were big enough she could rest her head on it while sleeping. The rear facing/forward facing facet was great for both stages. The only downside is she outgrew it kindof... Read full review »

When my first son out grew his infant seat we were overwhelmed by the amount of car seat choices on the market, but I think all that research paid off!
This one has great safety ratings, my kids both like it (and they look comfy in it too for the most part).  It has a nice... Read full review »

After four kids this is our favorite car seat!  It is comfortable and rated well for safety.  Our favorite feature is the knobs to adjust the harness.  Other car seats are so difficult to adjust each time you put them in for the perfect fit.  With this you simply turn the knob... I am the mom of a 2 year old.  As a baby shower gift we received an Eddie Bauer carseat and hated it.  We recently went shopping for a better carseat and found the Evenflo Triumph and LOVE it.  It is the perfect carseat.  I drive a Saturn Vue and this carseat fits perfectly in the middle... Pros comfortable; self-tightening knob; cup holder; sturdy

We bought this seat in March 2005. The ratings showed it #2 behind the Britax. The price was about $75 less so we figured our daughter would be just fine in the #2.

At 5 months old she was outgrowing her infant seat. Using this seat rear-facing was kind of a pain; as some reviews say it... Read full review »

This car seat is a great price and one of the nicest I have had.  We have five children and have used the triumph with the last two.  We researched many of the car seats on the market today and quickly decided this would be the seat that we would buy for our baby.  The seat is very durable and the... If there is a bigger car seat out there, I would be amazed. It is ginormous. I feel like I have a Barcalounger the back seat of my Accord. If I had gotten a Civic, we probably would have to remove the back seat to get this car seat installed. You would think my 8 month old son would be very happy... Read full review »

Pros Ease of use. Quick strap adjustment.
Cons Large/Bulky

My husband and I have been very happy with this car seat. I love how easy it is to loosen the straps to put our son and then tighten to the once he is snapped in. He seems very happy and comfortable. It looks comfortable to me; I wish my driver's seat was a larger version of his car seat. :) Read full review »

This is by far the best car seat we have ever owned. My favorite feature is the easy-to-adjust straps. This seat was by far - the easiest carseat to adjust (tighten / loosen) I had ever owned. I loved that I could recline the seat while the child was sleeping & they didn't wake up.

It WAS my favorite carseat - no longer my favorite - several reasons. Mainly: since my child had Rotavirus &... Read full review »

I bought this product after reading the Consumer Reports reviews of this product. It has a great safety record and is very sturdy. It is very big and bulky and takes up a lot of room in a small car, takes about a seat and 1/2. It is also very heavy, if you need to move it around. Mine came with a... Read full review »

I have been playing with the idea that this seat was not the best idea.
Let me explain........
I purchased the Evenflo Triumph back when my son had grown out of his infant seat (in late 2004). My son was a very big baby and around 6 months or so he started to get just too big.

The seat was great for a few months, but the straps started getting tight when my son was 18 months old, and now that he's 2 he just doesn't fit.
