Pros inexpensive, baby is secure
Cons insertion and extraction is difficult
Recommended it? Yes

For $20, the snugli has been a worthwhile investment for us. I put the baby in facing me and then my arms are free to do things without fear of having the baby squirm out. I use the Snugli often when I'm working on the computer. I'm able to reach around her for the keyboard. At times, I also put... Read full review »

Pros Great for "average-sized" people; keeps baby close while hands stay free
Cons May not fit well/comfortably for some people, depending on physical size/attributes
Recommended it? Yes

My niece purchased the Evenflo Snugli Double Comfort Carrier not for her use, but for mine while babysitting her daughter. I like it, and find it to be very comfortable; the baby also seems quite happy and content while I'm wearing it (in fact, she fell asleep while I had her in it when I began... Read full review »

Pros cozy
Cons hard to take the baby out
Recommended it? Yes

We tried to use this for our first baby and I must say we and a hard time with it. It may be partly because we were new at this whole parenting thing, but, we would get the baby into the snugli and he should fall asleep, but we couldn't not get him out! Well, after yanking and pulling and tugging... Read full review »

I hate it

Pros cheap
Cons painful
Recommended it? No

This was an item that I really believed I wanted. From within 10 minutes of putting it on, my back, neck and shoulders began to ache. After an hour it hurt so bad, that it was just easier to carry the baby in my arms. My baby is now 8 months old, and I have attempted to give it another try about... Read full review »

Pros inexpensive, durable, comfortable
Cons not easy to get baby in and out
Recommended it? Yes

I bought the Snugli backpack intending to use it every day to do housework. I think I've used it four times in three months. Being that the price is only about $20, I'm not too upset.

My biggest problem with the product is that my baby is 11 weeks old and upwards of 15 pounds. She... Read full review »

Good for Baby, Not for Tall Parents

Pros Comfort for mom and baby, ease of use and versatility
Cons Doesn't fit taller parents
Recommended it? Yes

We shopped for carriers with an eye to baby's comfort and ours. We chose the Snugli Double comfort because it has a pad for your lower back for lumbar support and because baby can sit facing in or out. Our daughter loves it so far. She is almost 5 months old, and is still using it facing toward... Read full review »

Not The Helping Hand I Was Looking For

byashleyf3 Feb 25, 2000
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Inexpensive
Cons No back support
Recommended it? No

I bought this snugli after I had my second child to free up my hands. I found that within twenty minutes of using the snugli my back would begin to hurt. This was surely not due to my child weight because he was a preemie weighing about 5lbs when I used this. My husband was able to use it for... Read full review »

After many trying out many soft carriers my baby finally approved of this one! He even stops crying and falls asleep in it! Pros comfortable
Cons lots of straps to adjust at first
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this carrier before my baby was born. I already have two other busy children to look after when we are out and didn't want to be running after both of them with a stroller in tow. I've been very happy with the carrier. It allowed me to hold the baby and have free hands to help her... Read full review »

Pros okay for very short periods
Cons difficult to remove baby, does not provide good back support
Recommended it? No

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy a baby carrier without trying it on, preferably with a baby to put in it! This is the major mistake I made in buying this snugli!

I was adamant on buying a baby carrier as I intended to be able to be a hip, on-the-go mom. I wasn't into the slings because I thought... Read full review »
