Hi, all -

I seriously wish I would have read your comments before putting the Shark on my registry. My husband and I have now been married 5 months, and received this as a gift for the wedding.

At first, I was so excited to have such a great iron. As other posts have said, it... Read full review »

Pros Looks. Stainless steel plate.
Cons Leaks. Unreliable. Expensive. Poor quality. Filling is slow.
Recommended it? No

This iron looks great and has great hype all over the box. However, It never really did that good a job of ironing. I always had to up the temperature one notch to get rid of wrinkles. I also had to press the extra steam button frequently just to get any steam. After about 9 months, it started... Read full review »

Pros Adjustable Steam, Worked Great While It Worked
Cons Quit working after 6 months of light service
Recommended it? No

My story is similar to others I've read, but I feel like I need to add my two cents worth. I purchased this iron at Target 6 months ago. I used the iron on average 4 times per week for touch up ironing & steaming.
Initially it worked great. I loved the adjustable steam settings & the weight of... Read full review »

Pros Heavyweight; long cord
Cons Leaked; stopped heating;lame instructions.

I purchased this iron at Sears ($70.00) last August & thought I had found the best iron ever! It was heavy, used tap water, I was happy. Obviously I had an error in judgement. It leaked and then just stopped. No warning, no lights, no heat, nothing! I went through the house checking different... Read full review »

Pros Worked well when it worked
Cons Water leaked, turned off when ironing
Recommended it? No

We have the same problem as many of the other reviews. Water leaking out the front. Called Shark - same story as others - $30 to fix plus shipping. Could not understand the customer service person (foreigner!). Called again to try to talk with another rep and they still would not do anything after... Read full review »

Pros LOOKS SHARP, WORKED AS WELL AS ANY OTHER IRON
Cons VERTICAL STEAM OPERATION POOR, FIRE HAZARD

IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT WITH THIS IRON. I WAS REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE VERTICAL STEAM OPTION...BUT INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE POOR WAY IT WORKED..OR RATHER DIDN'T! MY HUSBAND HAD A NEW BABY BLUE SILK NAT NAST SHIRT & AS I HAVE DONE MANY TIMES BEFORE, SET UP THE IRON TO GO TO TOWN! WITH... Read full review »

Pros Heats quickly
Cons Leaks like a cheap diaper.

I am in the military and iron my uniforms daily. I've been through A LOT of irons throughout my 12 years and I have to say that this iron is in the bottom three. I bought this one as a replacement for the Rowenta that I dropped on the floor (I'm still kicking myself for that one, it still worked... Read full review »

Pros Looks pretty slick.
Cons Leaks. Tips. Not user friendly.
Recommended it? No

I had leak problems with this iron. It is unstable when set upright and loses steam continuously if not upright. It has fallen from my board countless times and is missing a stand piece (now impossible to stand upright) and cover for the water fill hole. Compared to an average iron, the dials are... Don't buy this iron-it's a lemon.

Pros This lousy iron made me realize the importance of buying a good iron.
Cons Probably the worst appliance I've ever bought.
Recommended it? No

Worst iron ever. Keeps tipping over when it's standing upright. constantly leaks water because temperature isn't constant, doesn't seem to get wrinkles out easily, and the outside sweats and drips on items while I'm ironing. Made ironing a shirt for work a nightmare, and took about twice as long as... Read full review »

Avoid this Shark!

Pros Nice looking, heavy iron with great steam output.
Cons Died in less than nine months.

The Shark iron came from Target for $49.95.
It performed well for just under nine months, then shorted
out and died. The problem appered to have been in the pivot ball where the cord enters the iron: it sparked then
lost all power.
I called the customer service number listed,... Read full review »
