I believe!
As soon as I got it out of the box, I tore it apart. I was curious about it's mechanical makeup. I took everything off that could be removed. Not as strong as it's hyped to be
I bought this one new at BestBuy after reading the amazing reviews it's gotten online, especially in consumer reports.

Better than Years of Hoover
I bought this vacuum about 8 months ago. Have had no problems.
The suction is extremely powerful.
Vacuums bare or carpet floors equally well.
