Bad belt design
I was very impressed with this cleaner for the first 10 minutes or so. Then I got a little too close to a shoe and the lace got sucked into the roller. Help I'm obsessed
Let me tell you, I grew up using one of those 50 ton metal Kirbys from God-knows how long ago....I can say that I know a good vacuum when I use one. Sure there are prettier vacuums out there maybe fancier ones...but for just plain old results and ease this Eureka SmartVac has got you covered!

smartvac is junk
I had trouble with this vacuum cleaner immediately. After about four used, the beater bar did not go around consistently and then the belt broke. DO NOT BUY-HORRIBLE

Yet another disappointment
I too thought this vacuum was great...cheap, worked well, cleaned well, a little heavy and noisy but I was willing to put up with that if it cleaned the dog/cat hair out of my carpets and couches.

Cheaply Made
I had done extensive research before I bought this vacuum. I purchased it in 2004 and not even a year later it was falling apart.
