Mighty is Right
We had a Dirt Devil LiteRider, or something like that, and it just wasn't cutting it on our hardwood floors. Used for a baking business...wonderful suction!

This is a mighty Vacuum!
I have an upright Dirty Devil that is so big and heavy, that I used to vacuum just once a month. We also have stairs and vacuum it with the upright was a big pain.

Buy something else - we returned this Eureka after one frustrating use
This Eureka is almost impossible to use because the floor tool has little wheels that allow it to go in one direction only. One of the best vacuums I have ever owned!
I have owned this vacuum for about 10 years now. It only has an 8 amp motor, but it sucks very well. I used it to suck up plaster, drywall dust, and pretty much everything that I see on the floor.
