Built in obsolescence
The printer and scanner functions worked great UNTIL I used the less expensive non-Epson ink cartridges. The nozzles clogged and the printing went to hell in less than a month AFTER the warranty ran out. Since the Epson ink cartridges are 2 to 3 times more expensive than the generics, this makes... Don't Buy - Disposable Printer
A great machine if you only need it for a few months. I loved it during the first few months, although it shook the table every time it began to print. The quality was superb, but went through ink like a fiend!!

Short Joy
After about a year, it fails. Mine was low on ink, then I changed the cartages with new from Epson and now it doesn't print at all. Wasted about a third of the ink cleaning it on it's own. Then pulled the cartages out and cleaned the head, still doesn't work. I am very disappointed. Read full review »

Loved this printer when I first got it. It scanned Great, Copied Great. Even the Pictures looked great. In some cases I thought the printed pic looked better then the original.

Very ugly duckling
I hope someone from the Epson company reads this. I purchased a CX5200 from Sams a few months ago and everything was fine. Then I tried to change cartridges and the thing blew up! It smeared ink all over the place and did not work. Support was pretty good and they sent me a replacement.

It works fine until you replace the cartridges

Don't buy
Owned mine for 6 months. Ink jets clogged. Typical of Epson printers;if the clean cycle doesn't work, your screwed. Can't get to the heads to clean.
