Elebits: - Gotta Zap 'Em All

byjeremy1456 May 13, 2009

Pros Fun Gameplay, Unique Premise
Cons Iffy Controls, Unimpressive Graphics and Sound
Recommended it? Yes

Amongst the Nintendo Wii's launch (or near launch) games there wasn't a lot that interested me. In other words, there was Zelda, and that was about it. If it weren't for a little game from Konami called Elebits it might have been one of the worst launches in years. This little first person puzzle... Read full review »

Pros Brilliant colors and fun creatures.
Cons It gets old really quick.
Recommended it? No

This game offers brilliant colors and cute little creatures hiding around random rooms/levels of the game. The more you find and fling the more things become unlocked. Fun at first, but it gets redundant. I played this game four times before selling it back.

The tutorial is long, but... Read full review »

Pros Very addicting.
Cons Hard controls.
Recommended it? Yes

Like hide and go seek? Like hide and get the electric creatures that help you stare at the TV and gain weight? If you answer yes to both of these questions than get Elebits! This game has a kind of stupid storyline but you can have fun all the way! If your bored and mad from destroying your house... Read full review »

We love this game, mom included!

Pros Lots of colors, easy to play, changing levels, that become more challenging
Cons Sometimes can be hard to maneuver through rooms, opening doors and such.
Recommended it? Yes

Can't go wrong with Elebits. With a family of 3 boys, it's sometimes hard to find a game everyone enjoys, but this one does it. I (mom), generally do not play video games with the boys, it's more of Dads "thing", but this one has me addicted. The levels are fun, the elebits are cute, and the game... Read full review »

A short but fun game

Pros Good concept, fun for a while
Cons Short, lacks replay value, very easy
Recommended it? Yes

In this unique Wii game, you play as a young boy named Kai. After a lightning storm knocks out the power, he must capture Elebits using a capture gun. Elebits are creatures that control electricity.

The controls are simple enough: you use the remote to aim and shoot, while the nunchuk is... Read full review »

Ignore the poor packaging and pick it up now.

Pros Interactive, engaging and unique gameplay. Shows full potential of the Wiimote and...
Cons Poor packaging and "lame" story line make this one easy to overlook
Recommended it? Yes

If it weren't for stumbling on the IGN game of the year reviews which gave Elebits extremely high marks, including best use of the Wiimote and action game of the year, this game would have been passed by me without a glance.

The packaging of this game features some cutesy little blob with... Read full review »

I bought this game because it looked simple enough for a casual gamer with bad coordination to play, but challenging and unique enough to keep my attention and and keep me wanting more.

I'm glad I purchased it! It's easy to pick up and play without much knowledge of gaming. Elebits is... Read full review »

It's Like A Giant Bug Hunt

Pros Fun, addicting, an all out great game.
Cons Some areas can get a little glitchy.

They're like little dust balls, lice, or even mice (except they squeal like kittens) just running around loose all over the house, all over town- its anarchy. They're actually called Elebits though. They are little creatures that generate electricity, and they have all escaped during a lightning... Read full review »

Elebits, The Hit That Should've Been

bymaddogdenny Jan 20, 2007

Pros Addictive gameplay, great physics, breaking stuff.
Cons Lame story, some control issues.
Recommended it? Yes

As the title suggests, Elebits didn't fair too well in terms of sales, and this is my attempt to get the word out on this one, because if you miss out on this game, you're missing out on a lot of fun. I can certainly understand a certain amount of trepidation, as this game appears to be yet another... Read full review »

Elebits: It's Electric!

bySlusy Jan 20, 2007
39 Helpfuls 40 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Unique, addictive gameplay; good use of the Wii controller
Cons Environments repeat too often, mediocre graphics and music, horrible voice acting

It's a funny thing about console launch titles. Most of the games that are released to coincide with the release of the console fall into one of several categories: The first-party system sellers, the blatant ports from other systems, and the uninspired games that are rushed out to capitalize on... Elebits (wii)

Store Note: Buy it new & now! with eBay Buyer Protection

The creatures responsible for making electricity are missing and it is up to you to find them. Set inside a house, your job is to locate the Elebits, and then use their unique powers to move obstacles, access previously restricted areas, and activate electric appliances. Elebits can be obtained by sneaking up on them, or by scaring them out of their hiding places. You can catch creatures with a capturing device, and each Elebit nabbed increases your ability to lift heavy obstacles such as a washing machine. Some Elebits are worth experience points that are used to level up the lifting beam, and to also make it easier to move around large objects. The game features a Story mode and a few other gameplay options such as collecting items.
