This AC unit is very big, very heavy and very loud (when compressor is running). It comes with a 5 inch plastic hose for venting exhaust heat out, and that hose is a very thin walled plastic which gets so hot, the heat radiates out from the hose and into the room that it trying to be cooled. AP12000HS works well, could be better
Edgestar offers three portable 12,000 BTU air conditioners: AP12000S, AP12000HS, and AP12005ECO. The S and HS are the same except the HS includes a heater.
