Pros Magnificent creation tools
Cons Where's the game?
Recommended it? No

Spore may well be the most hyped computer game of this generation. Allowing you the opportunity to guide a species through its own evolution from cell to spacefarer, previews of Will Wright's new(est) masterpiece promised a "Sim-Everything" that would reshape the gaming world.

It didn't turn... Read full review »

Pros Excellent graphics, modeling and creature sharing
Cons No multiplayer, only creature sharing, not challenging for a computer game
Recommended it? No

Spore is an age dependent game that is not well suited beyond the ages of 6. The creature creator is a creation tool that develops new creatures in a graphical and pleasing modeling feature. During the playable version, where the Creature Creator is a trial edition with no play capabilities, you... Read full review »

Pros The builder tool, the city layout tool
Cons Simple game modes, easy, DRM, hype
Recommended it? No

Before I start on the game I want to warn you off this game due to the Digital Rights Management. EA has decided that all there paying customers are evil pirates (of the software not FSM kind) and so you can only install this game three times before you have to phone EA and beg to be allowed to... Pros Very customizable gameplay, great replay value, tons to do!
Cons Sounds are lacking quite a bit, very repetitive sounds.

To thoroughly enjoy this game, one must be willing to spend some time learning the game.

We'll get to that later.

Lets start off with what this game is about.  In Spore, you start off as a single celled organism, and work your way up and evolve into a land creature and eventually a... Read full review »

Spore was one of most anticipated games of this year. It was meant to be something like a Sim-Everything, 5 games in one. And anyone who's like me knew the proper reaction to the idea they could pull it off, well, was something like "yeah right" and "that could be pretty cool and interesting." I... Read full review »

Pros Moderate system requirements, Creature Creator, Good for kids.
Cons Game is boring and repetitive, Overboard DRM on the installation process
Recommended it? No

Spore has been hyped for the last few years as being an incredibly innovative and addictive game.  With all the anticipation I rushed out to buy this title shortly after it came out.  While graphically it is not a bad game, after a little while Spore gets really repetitive and boring.  If you like... Pros New innovative game play.
Cons Too many in game choices are purely aesthetic. Most game phases lose replay value quickly.
Recommended it? Yes

While Castle Wolfenstein was certainly a good game and Doom built on that success, you wonder what the video game market would look like today without the first person shooter genre. You would still have your fighting, driving, role-playing, simulation and platform action games.

Spore... Read full review »

Spore is an extremely addictive video game which offers hours and even days of nonstop game play. You Start as cell, and 3 stages later, you launch into space. You start out as a jiggly cell, and end up as a scaly dinosaur-esque thing. Read on to find out more about the game before you make up your... Read full review »

I bought the downloadable version of this game last week, the day it came out. I have been impressed and pleased by how well the development of the game was executed. I bought the game in part because developers who undertake something so ambitious and evolutionary deserve to be rewarded, but also... Read full review »
