Pros Great suction, bagless, so easy to clean out, no extra money to buy bags.
Cons The vacuum hose is a pain to handle. Not much else.
Recommended it? Yes

Unfortunately, I thought black carpet would be awesome, and I could be that one oddball with black carpet. I obviously wasn't thinking clearly, I have 3 black and white cats, 1 black cat and 1 orange cat. All shed, all love to be in my room, all love to rub on the black carpet. My old vacuum could... Pros good suction, easy cleaning, no filters
Cons odd shape isn't sleek
Recommended it? Yes

I'll start by saying we bought a new home with miles of new carpeting. The old home was all wood flooring and a "good" vacuum wasn't on the top of my list of priorities.

As we moved in, my loving husband stated the obvious: "Honey, we need a vacuum." So, the search began and ended--twice... Read full review »

Pros Extreme power. Never loses suction. Doesn't break down.
Cons The base is large and is therefore difficult or impossible to get under beds.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought a Dyson about a year ago after going through other bagless vacuums like water. Other machines NEVER worked as well as when I first used them. Also, the other machines would clog endlessly, and even overheat and stop working.
So we bought a Dyson and have been VERY happy with it. Let... Read full review »

Haven't tried many other vacuums, but this one won me over

Pros Good suction, overall good design, relatively light and quiet.
Cons Attaching and detaching the wand/handle is a bit clumsy.
Recommended it? Yes

I'm a late-comer to the Dyson hype because like many others, I couldn't justify spending so much on a vacuum. Well, my old Dirt Devil finally started getting clogged, and an $80 vacuum isn't worth repairing, it was time for a new one.

I almost went with another cheaper vac, but one of my... Read full review »

Pros The hose is in the handle. The crevice tool works well.
Cons Only good when using the hose (except stairs). Not good on the floor.
Recommended it? No

I have used the Dyson for 14 months now. I did not want to be someone who wrote a review after using it one day. I wanted to give a review based on a lot of use.
This vacuum is not the worst, but it is not the best and I've been quite disappointed. Maybe if I had paid $150.00 to $200.00 I may... Read full review »

Pros works exactly as advertised
Cons cost for new unit- look around for remanufactured units.
Recommended it? Yes

Things that I love about this machine:

- super long cord that reaches anywhere on each level on our house. Plug into one socket and go into every room without shutting down and finding a new outlet.

- ability to turn off roller brush on smooth or low carpet floors. Keeps you... Read full review »

Dyson DC07 Animal = Best Vacuum Ever

Pros incredible cleaning power and great attachment options
Cons all attachments are not able to be stored on machine
Recommended it? Yes

With the Dyson, I can easily vacuum both hardwood, linoleum, and carpet with one click. After first trying it on the living room rug, my husband said, "It's like we paid to have it cleaned professionally!" I had heard from several friends that it was worth the money, however I doubted that a vacuum... Read full review »

Cons Price. Newer models are now available.

We were in Home Depot during their clearance event - around October 22, 2006. We were there to check out insulation for the attic and take a peek at the clearance items.

As we were walking down the center aisle, my husband suddenly stopped and said, "I don't believe it - look!"

Our Bissell stopped working after two years of use, so I decided to splurge on a Dyson Animal due to the fact that we have 3 kids and 2 dogs and have lots of messes to clean. I bought it on sale on January 16th. I was pleased with the suction with the first use, the dirt container was full of more... Read full review »

"I just think things should work properly."

Pros powerful, versatile, nice features, cool engineering, and I like the oddball form factor
Cons pricey, hose-and-handle assembly is a weak spot, customer support friendly but slow.
Recommended it? Yes

I've had my DC07 for two years now; I'm sold on this machine, and lemme tell ya, I'm not an easy sell when it comes to newfangled appliances. Though a progressive kind of guy in most respects, I'm an unreconstructed reactionary when it comes to household goods. I like old stuff, in other words. I'm... Read full review »
