What's with the hype?
So, I'd been needing a new vacuum for a while, and broke down, went with the hype, and bought a Dyson DC07 - the yellow one. Fortunately I went with a refurb model, which saved me about $120.

Dyson DC 07 Animal - It is about time!
I love this vacuum. I have two dogs and this thing rocks! I read many reviews before purchasing it and it was well worth the money spent. Best Vacuum On The Planet
We are in awe of this vacuum. It was worth every penny of the $500 we spent. It not only cleans up the enormous amount of cat hair we have to vacuum up every couple of days, but sucks up everything else thoroughly and easily. Love this machine! I've had it two years and still runs great.
Two things I want to point out as negatives -
1. Hose should be a touch longer.
2. I have to clean the filter much more often than six months.
