In a Word? Bleh. Square Enix's Drakengard
When asked to describe Square-Enix's latest action role-playing game (RPG), Drakengard, most people talk about how it's a combination of Koei's Dynasty Warriors series and Sega's Panzer Dragoon games. This is an accurate assessment—but an even better one would be to say it's Square's version of... Read full review »
8 swords, one dragon, and only an hour to destroy everything
Last E3, when I stopped by Square Enix's booth, they wanted to show me one game in particular, one that they knew I wouldn't expect. Because, about a month before the show, they had merged with Enix, they got the rights to Drakengard, which was a title quite unlike anything Square had ever... Read full review »
Boredom From Above, Mediocrity Below
Since the Squaresoft/Enix merger that brought Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior together under the publishing arm of Square Enix, the games released by the publisher have been wholly of the Square side of the company. From the various Final Fantasy games (Tactics Advance, X-2, and Crystal... Read full review »
Drakengard: Good in air, bad on ground
Drakengard for the Playstation 2 has to say the least, the oddest storyline I have ever seen. It is basically Murphy's Law in a game form. What can go wrong for these poor characters, does.
In a nutshell, the story of Drakengard is interesting, weird, and finishes off extremely poor. You...

This is how a hack 'n' slash game should be though. It should be able to satisfy the need for large scale battles you take on all... Read full review »
Great for fans of Drakan and Dynasty Warriors
When I first saw the television commercial for this game, I knew that I must buy it. I was a huge fan of both Dynasty Warriors 4 and Drakan, and I saw this game as a mix between the two. The idea of an RPG-style hack-and-slash game really appealed. And, of course, there is the awsome feature of the... Read full review »
You will never find a worse game, guaranteed or you sanity back!
So what do you get when you take mad generic story line, painful to listen to wretched music, linear as hell gameplay, voice acting that could have been done via computer synth, and mentally challenged AI?
You may realize that my next word is Drakengard. If you did, you are correct.

Drakengard
The game combines tactics much like Kingdom Hearts. You slice things up, grow levels, and you get money to get better weapons and armor. There are some different things though like you choose skills through a sphere grid and you can do combos to gain more exp. I bought it because it looked cool but... Read full review »
