Pros should be in the hall of fame for video games

i have to say i still think this is one of the best games ever made. it invented fps, blood and guts games, probably started the anti video game tree hugger groups, and made its way into the hearts of millions. if it wasnt for the graphics and sounds being outdated i bet this would still be at the... Pros Simple controls, decent music, interesting weapons
Cons Limited movement, predictable baddies, 9-year-old graphics

Sorry to all who reviewed and referred to Doom as the game that "started it all," etc. Doom had MANY predecessors, the most significant of which was "Wolfenstein 3D," released by the same folks some 3-1/2 years earlier (1991). Pros Revolutionary, Network Play, Expandable.
Cons Very Dated. Graphic violence.
Recommended it? Yes

DOOM is a classic game. It belongs right up there with Pong, Space Invaders, Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros. - granted, it popularized a much more violent genre, but it was indeed just as revolutionary and important in the history of video games as any other.
