My combo VCR - A good choice.
(SEE NOTE BELOW)
I was replacing a broken 13" TV-VCR Sylvania combo I had for the spare room. The grandkids use the spare room when they come to visit. I wanted a separate TV & VCR this time since the combos don't seem to last long. It just lasted long enough until the warranty expired. I...

Solid performer at a great price!
The Samsung DVD-S5500 DVD/VCR Combo has been a solid performer for me since I have purchased it. It has given me no problems at all.

Absolutely the biggest piece of junk you will ever consider purchasing. Buy anything else besides Samsung. Terrible customer service, products are riddled with problems. Save yourself the grief. Read full review »

Much faster response for tape and DVD operation than the Memorex MVD 4541 I tried.(But the Memorex has very good Image quality and features) I am also able to operate the basic DVD and VCR operations for the Samsung with my $8 RCA... Unreliable Unit
Having purchased two units, one for me and one for my son, I must say these are the worst electronic devices I've ever bought. Mine refuses to play many brand new discs and sticks at menu options most of the time. My son wasn't using his, so I now have it and it too does the same thing. These... Read full review »
