Dangerous malfunction before 3 years old.
FYI - This toaster oven DOES NOT have Convection Cooking as stated in Epinion's title. Updated 10/21/2006 and 8/28/2007 and 8/1/2008 when it malfunctioned and caused a flash fire.
Why did you buy this product?

Beware of door issue
I want to ditto the prior review regarding the door. The door will every time not close all the way, and stays open about a quarter inch. On ours, if I spend a few minutes jiggling I can usually (but not always) get it to close. Read full review »
Very good looking, cooks well, but be cautious!
I go along basically with skidderss' review of this oven.
It is modern, sleek, and well made by all accounts.
And heats evenly and for me, fast enough.
I am also a former Black & Decker owner, and I was surprised to find this one has no timer.

Basic toaster oven except for door closure issue
This toaster oven was purchased in 8/06 to replace a GE that had functioned for 20 years. This unit appeared more substantial and had the basic features of toasting, baking and broiling.It functioned properly for toasting and baking. I did not use the broil feature. Not terrible... but not great at toasting.
After my Black and Decker toaster oven got really cruddy looking & started to smell like fire we decided it was time to retire it and buy new. Our choice was the Cuisinart Classic TOB-50 without convection. We purchased it at PC Richard for $80 using a 20% coupon.

Great but door problem.
The oven works well except for one thing. We are on our third oven and all three (including the current one) don't have a door that closes all the way. The door(s can be closed all the way and it then falls open about a quarter inch. Too bad, since the toast is evenly done. I called tech support... Read full review »
WD40 (Make sure you use straw)
OK..Door made me crazy as it would not shut... Also squeeked... I put some Lubricant WD40 inside the left hinge (open the door, use the straw on the can and squirt just a little...)... Low quality product
I was warned about Cuisinart quality problems, but I still went and purchased this oven. After just 6 month it stuck on broil setting and now burns everything that gets in. I think I'll stay away from this oven and from Cuisinart products in the future Read full review »
good toaster with two flaws
This is an easy toaster to use. Toasts well, easy to keep clean, and looks good. However, the black inside coating (nonstick?)is peeling off the back wall, and the door is sticking. Neither a good toaster nor a good oven
Toast take 4-5 minutes. The top elements get much hotter than the bottom elements resulting in very uneven toasting.
In the bake mode, the top elements cycle on/off with the bottom elements causing some foods to burn on top unless protected with foil.
