Do Not Waste Your Money

Pros Looks nice on the counter
Cons The person who designed it was on drugs
Recommended it? No

To begin with, the grinder sounds like a small aircraft during take-off. It is so loud at 5am in my condominium that I give it a full body wrap to muffle the noise.

The filter basket door will occasionally pop open during brewing or any other time that it wants to. Then when you clean up... Read full review »

Good coffee but coffee maker doesn't last long.

Pros Good coffee.
Cons Coffee maker barely lasts 1 year.
Recommended it? No

This is my second Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee maker. The grinder quit on the first one after about a year of daily use. I upgraded to the Stainless Steel after that. I bought the DGB-600 from a military exchange overseas. I had been using it for exactly 1 year and the grinder went out on it... Read full review »

Pros Great cup of coffee
Cons lots of work to clean between each cycle. extreme waste of coffee. really bad carafe
Recommended it? No

Wow! How is it that a product this bad gets to market? Though it brews a great cup of coffee, this promising product really needs to go back to the drawing board.

1) Lots to clean up between brews.
2) Uses easily 1/3 more coffee beans to brew than a normal maker due to extreme waste... Read full review »

Pros Thermal carafe, fresh coffee.
Cons Unnecessarily complicated, very easy to make a mess, not well made.
Recommended it? No

I really wanted a coffee maker with a built in grinder for a long time. When I found this one at costco for $100 I was really ecstatic. My hypothesis was that having a grinder would save me a step during the coffee making process. Wrong. This coffee maker has a LOT of parts and it actually makes... Read full review »

Cuisanart needs too put this product out of its misery

Pros None.
Cons Clunky, overly complex, messy, hard to clean, floods, weak coffee, pricey, poor customer...
Recommended it? No

We got the DGB-600BC model with the thermal carafe. There is nothing about this coffee maker that is good. On the surface, one might be intrigued by its fully automatic concept and looks: Put "this" in here, and coffee comes out there. Making a good cup of coffee should not be a complex task.

Pros None
Cons Loud grinder, makes coffee on the counter, broke with in 4 months of having it
Recommended it? No

This is the worst coffee pot I have ever used. I received it as a gift for Christmas and 4 months later it is broken. The coffee maker is poorly designed and is a pain to deal with. You have to take out the filter basket, filter tray, grinding parts and rinse them out everyday otherwise your beans... Read full review »

Pros Stainless steel look is nice
Cons Won't complete more that 2 cups of coffee at a time!
Recommended it? No

This is the second Grind and Brew I've owned in the last 1 1/2 years. The first one broke after a year of use. I received another as a gift and this second one broke only after 2 months (same problem with both).

One day I found that all the coffee wasn't made. I checked and water was... Read full review »

Fancy & impressive, but not worth it

Pros Grinds and brews in one machine.
Cons Grinds and brews in 101 steps (a slight exaggeration), annoying thermos.
Recommended it? No

I purchased this at an outlet store because the box was bashed. I didn't care - I was so excited to have such a fancy coffee pot at a great price... That's the good news. Now for the rest... There are MANY steps to get your coffee: pouring in water, putting in beans, capping the grinder, putting in... Read full review »

Not easy to pour

byjbelson Mar 7, 2007

Pros Freshly ground coffee. Pot keeps coffee warm.
Cons Difficult to pour. Grinding is kinda loud.
Recommended it? No

I like the idea of freshly ground coffee each morning and have pretty much liked the machine so far.
My only issue is the coffee pot itself. It has to be turned almost upside down to pour. The spout is after the lip which makes it difficult. The grind feature is a little loud, but hey, it's... Read full review »

Pros Great tasting coffee, Grinds Fresh beans. Easy to use.
Cons Time consuming on cleaning the grinding unit.

We purchased this at Great Outdoors, it was expensive.
We loved fresh ground coffee beans, figured this would be best machine for us. We love the taste of the coffee. We like the built in grinder. The coffee stays hots up to four hours. I hate the cleaning! It is messy and time consuming. We... Read full review »
