Pros Nice design--good coffee
Cons Cheap parts--expensive name
Recommended it? No

Great design, nice dispenser, good coffee--unfortunately when it breaks your are screwed--not able to get repair parts. Had ours a year and after 8 months it started working intermittently--now after 12 months it won't come on at all. A coffee maker that only works when it wants is very frustrating... Great Coffee, Great Looks

bycomputerholic Sep 15, 2007

Pros Good looks, sealed chamber keeps coffee fresh.
Cons Small fill opening can lead to some messy spills
Recommended it? Yes

This is the best coffee maker we have ever owned. The coffee stays hot long after the the default two hour timeout turns the heater off. The flavor is great after a brew, and the lid keeps it fresh tasting for a long time.
My only complaint that the fill opening is an awful small target for a... Read full review »

Pros I use less coffee and the Cuisinart looks cleaner on my cabinet.
Cons I don't have any complaints about this coffee maker.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased my first Cuisinart coffee maker in 2000 and used it until it "died" this year. I thought I would try another brand, but was very unhappy with it. Read full review »

Machine died after four months

Pros Looks good.
Cons Leaks water. Can't open when under cabinets. Died in 4 months.
Recommended it? No

We have always had $30 Mr. Coffee-type coffee makers, but splurged on this $99 version to avoid having to deal with a carafe. We are very disappointed. Not only does it leak water, but after just 4 months, it completely died -- no power or heat. Cuisinart wants me to spend $15 more to ship it to... Read full review »

Pros THERE IS NO CARAFFE
Cons STOPS WORKING ALL OF A SUDDEN
Recommended it? No

THIS COFFEEMAKER WORKS FINE FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS AND THEN THE THING JUST STOPS WORKING FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY GOING INTO THE UNIT AND I HAVE CALLED THE COMPANY TWICE REGARDING THIS. THEY HAVE SENT ME TWO MACHINES (WITH AN ADDITIONAL $10.00 S & H FEE FOR EACH MACHINE) AND THE... Pros Looks nice, no carafe
Cons NOT DURABLE. I make coffee twice a day, so I need it to hold up!!
Recommended it? No

We really liked this coffee pot...at first. After about 10 months it started acting up. First, the coffee wasn't hot enough, then sometimes the automatic brew wouldn't work. Now, it shuts off right after it brews, and won't turn back on!! Read full review »

Pros Awesome cup of coffee, looks good in the kitchen.
Cons Grows lots of mold and hard to clean.
Recommended it? Yes

I'm a Jersey-ite and obsessed with the perfect cup of coffee. Here are my good and bad beans about the machine:

+ Makes a truly top notch cup of coffee - yum
+ Stays hot for up to four hours (really)
+ Really aesthetically pleasing - especially the
coffee 'gauge' on the... Read full review »

Pros Hot coffee without hot parts to burn yourself. Easy to clean. Stylish and fun!
Cons Water tank is not removable for cleaning. Water tank opening is oddly shaped.
Recommended it? Yes

Have owned my now for three months and love it. There is no glass to break and the main parts can be easily removed and washed in your dishwasher. The removable coffee tank has a large opening so it is very easy to clean which is important for a good tasting cup of coffee. The coffee stays nice and... Read full review »

Hmmm Does it Brew? The answer is Not Always!

bytruth2u Apr 20, 2007

Pros Looks great, no carafe, and when it worked it kept the coffee hot.
Cons The real question is will it or won't it brew?
Recommended it? No

My husband bought the DCC-2000 coffee maker for me as a gift Christmas of 2005. I really liked the fact that it didn't have a carafe-no glass to break, I like the way it looked, and at first it worked great! Then after around 9 months, well you could guess, will it work? or won't it work? Sometimes... Read full review »

They Stand Behind It

Pros Excellent warranty service.
Cons Dicey reservoir filler.
Recommended it? Yes

I read several poor reviews of Cuisinart customer service. My machine stopped working a few days ago. I knew there was a 3 year warranty but had no proof of purchase. I called Cuisinart and she asked my serial number. She said the number showed the unit to be under warranty and I should return it... Read full review »
