Great Grinds -- Excellent Value Grinder
The CCM-16PC is, apparently, the Costco version of the DBM-8. The first attraction of this burr grinder is that it is priced significantly less than virtually any other burr grinder out there. Not worth buying
I purchased one of these and used it for less than a year and it quit operating. Now I have to find another, better machine. I purchased it for it's appearance and trusted the brand name. Short lifespan
I purchased this grinder because it was a name brand and it had the features I wanted: large capacity hopper, burr grinder, alleged consistent grind. good grind, short life
we've had TWO of these Costco grinders, they work for maybe a year, then just 'stop' one day. I took the latest one apart this AM, and can't seen anything wrong but there's a circuit board with a bunch of parts so its probably an electronic failure (its probably the timer board).

Lasted 'bout a year; otherwise o.k. but loud
Mine lasted about a year. E-mailed Cuisinart for return info and it took them 2+ weeks to respond. Although they are replacing the unit, it is costing me $4 plus shipping to Arizona. Not just Costco, but supermarkets also
I bought mine at a Fry's Food in Mesa AZ. Went fine for more than a year, then noigrind. The hopper also includes the top milling piece, and the plastic disintegrated. Too much force in there. Grinds fine for drip, wasn't bad at all for press, but we don't make espresso... Read full review »

Get what you pay for-maybe
I think we paid about $50 for this unit. We chose it because of the Cuisinart brand & price. We have a Cuisinart coffee maker, and it has operated perfectly for nearly 5 yrs. It's okay, but...
Having a small hopper that holds half a pound of coffee is nice, having a small hopper that collects the ground coffee without grounds going on the counter is nice.
