Decent Coffee Maker w/ Nice Looks
A lot of negative things said about this coffee maker which I find to be untrue or misleading at best.
1) Filling the coffee maker is difficult due to small portal. If you use the Carafe to do this it is no more difficult then pooring a cup of coffee.

UPDATE 11/3/09 In my searching for a less expensive replacement carafe, I stumbled over a thread where a poster described a procedure to disassemble the carafe, clean it thoroughly under the plastic rim, and reassemble it. AVOID THIS COFFEE-MAKER LIKE THE PLAGUE!
I may sound like the old crank from down the street, but here goes: "Back in the old days we paid 20 bucks for a Mr. Coffee that would last 20 years!" The good die young.
I bought my DCC-1200 about 1 year ago. It has been a good machine that was not overly complicated, easy to maintain and made a good cup of coffee. hAD THIS COFFEE MAKER LESS THAN A YEAR AND NEVER REALLY SATISFIED WITH THE COFFEE IT PRODUCED.
NOW THE PUMP SEEMS TO HAVE FAILED AS IT JUST SITS THERE AND STEAMS THE WATER AWAY WITH NEVER ANY MORE THAN A 1/4 INCH OF BREW IN THE CARAFE. DOES N0T SEEM TO BE ANY WAY TO DISMANTLE

I have this one for about 3 years and love it..works just perfect... I did not have such luck with a more expensive Krups ..that one died after 9 mos.
