Great brand name - Soggy Rice
I thought I could rely on the Cuisinart brand name as I have been happy with their products in the past. Unfortunately this rice maker is really poor. It makes rice that is soggy AND burned on the bottom! How do they do that - and why?

Nice design, but spray first!
We bought this rice cooker after many botched attempts at cooking rice in a saucepan on the stove. It is advertised as non-stick, and the cooked rice does not stick to the pot. Looks good, but I can make a mess on the stovetop for less $
Cooking directions are poor. A custom sized measuring cup is provided for the rice, and the cook pot has gradations that are also custom. These work only if you're using white rice. Good Design, Bad Rice

Aesthetically pleasing, horrible rice no more! Update July'09
I gave this rice cooker a 2nd chance and it's not as bad as I first thought. It's making consistent well cooked rice. I had to figure it out to get good results.
