Not quite whole storey

Pros great bread, sometimes
Cons clips don't hold pan in place and help support pretty much non-existent.
Recommended it? No

Used the machine to make some twenty loaves and, if watched carefully, when it worked, it worked well. The largest problem was with the side clips that held the pan in place. They don't. The resulting racket sounds like a cement mixer gone wild. The paddle motion pushes the pan upwards and the only... Read full review »

Pros Good Machine
Cons Cuisinart Cookbook off on some of Recipes
Recommended it? Yes

I bought the new Cuisinart bread machine this year. After a few flops with the Cuisinart I found out the cookbook that came with it is off on some of its recipes. I now use recipes from other bread machine recipe books and it is making great loafs of bread now. If I want to use the Cuisinart... Read full review »

Pros Convection feature. Unique styling compared to other bread machines.
Cons Poorly designed/constructed paddle makes it VERY hard to remove. Severely lacking...
Recommended it? No

I wanted to like this bread machine, I really did. And let's face it, it's usually pretty easy to like something when you're able to get it using a free gift card you received to the store. But even though it didn't actually cost any money out of my pocket and even though I really wanted to like... Read full review »

My bread man lasted for 12 years and I used it weekly. This died after 1 1/2 years and I used it every 3 weeks. At first it was a reasonable product -- I bake challah and artisan breads. The front corroded shortly after the warranty died, but it still worked.
The pan... Read full review »

Pros Mixed well.
Good alerts
Cons Burned bread
Controls hard to see
Exterior hot
Recommended it? No

I had borrowed my mom's old Oster breadmaker for a few weeks to see if I would like one and decided, "Yep, it's pretty cool!" Every loaf I made with hers was perfect so I found this Cuisinart machine and ordered it. Every loaf I made I had to stop early because of the burning... Pros Bakes well.
Cons No good with kneading.Large on the counter.Loud.
Recommended it? No

I bought this Cuisinart machine and was sorely disappointed. The design of this machine is not smart. I wound up babysitting the machine through the whole kneading process (which was extremely long). The bread pan kept popping out and I would have to stop the machine and reseat it. Maybe my dough... Read full review »

Pros Great looking, matches my Cuisinart cofee maker. Very easy to get up and baking.
Cons Lid latch broke off second time I opened. Very noisy.
Recommended it? Yes

After my Regal maker blew a belt and I couldnt get a replacement I decided on the Cuisinart. Unpacked it, set washed out the parts and proceeded to mix my first batch of basic bread. When I lifted up the cover to put the basket in the left hinge broke off and the lid fell to the counter. I will... Read full review »

Massive Disappointment

bybriankeyna Jul 21, 2008

Pros This is a very good looking machine, has many options and a big recipe book.
Cons Baked loaves got stuck in machine - flimsy and badly fitting bread pan - noisy.
Recommended it? No

We ended up returning this machine because we had to wrest the loaves out of it in bits and pieces. We think this is because the paddle was so loose-fitting that dough got between the post and the paddle, firmly baking them together. Another detraction was how ill-fitting the bread pan was; it made... Read full review »

Not good enough!

Pros Not better than cheaper units.
Cons Expensive. Included cookbook makes hard bread.
Recommended it? No

It's too expensive for what it produces. Bread makers half the price make bread just as well. It's not a bread shaped loaf as advertised. The multiple bread settings do little to help. The bread made from the included recipe book is dense and hard. I have made decent bread using other cookbooks... Read full review »

Cuisinart CBK-200 Breadmaker a big disappointment!

Pros Looks good, cleans up easily - but that doesn't help with the bread.
Cons Produces very poor quality & poorly shaped bread. Pan shape does not allow good kneading.
Recommended it? No

1. I purchased (actually used Air Miles) this product after my old bread maker died. I have several Cuisinart appliances and love them all so I assumed their bread maker would be a great product also. I've been truly disappointed at the quality of bread that this machine puts out. Cuisinart has... Read full review »
