Pros Good drive, good company
Cons Didn't last long enough, Extraction problem with Easy CD Creator

I had this drive for about 2 years, then it stopped working. Overall the drive was pretty good, although I did encounter a serious problem when my Easy Cd Creator burning software anyalyed the cd-rom and it stated that the maximum output speed for data extraction meant that I could only burn at max... I received the CD-ROM drive with my computer. It was a choice, and I chose the fastest and the Creative brand name last July (2000).

Pros Quiet at 40x, button toggles between 40/52x, digital output, handy CD interface
Cons Loud at 52x and that's about it
Recommended it? Yes

My old CD-ROM was driving me crazy as it wouldn't play CD audio without skipping on certain CDs- I've noticed stuff like this happen on cheap CD-ROM drives.
