Pros "lifetime" carseat
Cons harness system tangles
Recommended it? Yes

Okay having 4 kids I have had my fair share of car seats. At least 10 and I think this is a low number. When my son was born in September my husband and I decided that once he outgrew the infant carseat and when we could find the Alpha Omega with the 5 point harness that was the one we were going... Is it really the only carseat you will need?

Pros First to last carseat... fits good in our car!!
Cons I dont like the patterns!
Recommended it? Yes

When my husband got into an accident in our car (not his fault!) we had to replace our carseat. After looking around for a bit...and realizing just how hard it is to find a carseat that we like, fits in our car, AND rear faces to at least 30 pounds for our Sumo baby, we ended up getting this... Not the greatest

Pros looks nice, matches car interior, 5-point harness
Cons Bulky when rear-facing, twisted straps & no head support when car napping!
Recommended it? No

We received this seat as a shower gift when my daughter was born 3 years ago. At first I liked the seat. When she was 10 months old we put her in it rear facing and the seat was wonderful! It was quite big and bulky in the back seat (wouldn't work in a compact car rear facing) but still worked... Read full review »

Pros Nice forward facing child sits comfortably in it Excellent customer service
Cons Big/heavy Straps hard to tighten Hard to install in smaller vehicles Expensive
Recommended it? No

We bought this car seat about 6 months ago because it had a high safety rating. This being our first child and first kick at the cat with car seats, I didn't realize that it was defective from day one. The locking mechanism for the straps didn't lock properly, so for a few months we drove around... Read full review »

Didn't work for us, but a good product

Pros Comfortable Plush cloth keeps baby from slipping during adjustments. SIMPLE to adjust...
Cons Doesn't fit in medium sized car. Too hard to tighten straps. Poor buckle design.
Recommended it? No

We ended up having to return this. Unfortunately the store we purchased it at (ToysRUs/BabiesRUs) didn't allow us to try a model in our car.

Our daughter is 11 months, so she still needs to be rear-facing, but she can't fit in her infant carrier anymore with a coat on. My sister... Read full review »

Pros Great protection in a side-impact collision, grows with child, durable seat cover.
Cons Given my experience: none.
Recommended it? Yes

We bought our Alpha Omega Car Seat several years ago because we liked that it would grow with our child. We have used it as a rear facing and forward facing infant seat and as a belt positioning booster.

What every parent really wants to know about a car seat, though, is what they hope... Read full review »

Pros converts to different stages of growth for the child
Cons a bit bulky, & does not far enough back for newborns
Recommended it? Yes

We love this car seat! We started using it right from the hospital, in our one vehicle. However we did wish that it reclined a little bit more for the newborn. It was recommended to us by our local police department for it's safety features. Our son is now 17 months old and does not mind going into... Read full review »

Pros Stylish, seems to be comfortable
Cons Straps tangle, twist, and are hard to clean.
Recommended it? No

When I was about 8 months pregnant my husbands parents surprised us with this adorable carseat. We were delighted. My husband assembled it right away with ease. The peices fit together well, and I looked great. Well now after 17 months of use we seem to always notice that the straps tangle, twist,... Read full review »

Cosco Alpha Omega Elite convertible car seat is too difficult to use

Pros I really like the colors (pink and brown) and it is very well cushioned.
Cons Directions are not clear and the latch system is terrible.
Recommended it? No

I read the safety information and thought I was buying the best. I have found this seat so difficult, I am going back to my infant carrier for now. The directions for the latch system were not very clear. After 45 minutes of reading, threading and rethreading the straps, I finally got it. It took... Read full review »

A good, well made car seat at an excellent price.

Pros 5 point harness, good safety rating, up to 80 pounds, 3-1, washable
Cons Bulky, difficult to adjust at times
Recommended it? Yes

We used this seat after our daughter had outgrown the carrier and had first used it rear facing. We where unable to install it in our Neon because of it's size, it would not fit, rear facing. But once we could use it front facing, it fit in, though it's large size made things tight for anyone else... Read full review »
