Pros Can be used for infants and children up to 80lbs.
Cons Did not recline very far for the infant position. Very big
Recommended it? Yes

I got the car seat when my son was under 20#s but was too long for his infant seat. It did not recline far enough to be comfortable for him. It was also very difficult to get tight in the infant position. I would not recommend this seat to use with an infant.
It is very big, i am not sure that... Read full review »

Pros color,weight limit
Cons none so far (well maybe the tether), straps twist
Recommended it? Yes

Thanks to everyone who reviewed my epinion, and made comments.

As mentioned in many of the comments, the tether was a major concern. I had it installed in the rear facing position. As many pointed out, this is NOT acceptable. Ok, so I read the instructions again, and called the store... Read full review »

Pros Price, durability, and five point seat belt
Cons Back does not tilt back very far and straps get twisted easily
Recommended it? Yes

First I must say we have two of these car seats. We received one for a shower gift and purchased the other one when my wife and I took separate jobs. I have my seat in the car all the time and my wife takes hers out everyday as she has commuters riding in her car. I like the basic overall... Read full review »

Too big, too awkward, straps are a pain

Pros Less expensive, holds children 20-100 pounds
Cons Twisted straps, shallow seat, hard to buckle for larger children, too tall for rear...
Recommended it? No

We bought this seat after our son outgrew his travel system carrier car seat. He was still riding rear-facing in the car at the time, but we needed a seat that would grow with him.

This seat was recommended for rear-facing children under 1 year of age (20 pounds minimum) through older,... Read full review »

Pros Car seat can be used for a 5 lb baby to an 85 lb toddler.
Cons Straps twist No handle to carry baby around Hard to buckle kids in
Recommended it? Yes

I love the fact that this is the last carseat we have to buy for our baby. However, I would NEVER buy it as an infant seat. It's great for my one year old. I installed it rear-facing since that's the safest for baby. Will turn it around when she's too tall to be rear-facing (maybe 18 months).

The big seat

byastier Dec 28, 2002

Pros reclines, arm rest adjusts,(Base is removable.)
Cons Big and bulky. Not a 5 point harness. Cannot remove covers easily to wash.
Recommended it? Yes

This carseat has a neat reclining feature which helps on long rides so baby can sleep. The arm rest adjusts as well to give more or less room. I bought mine two years ago and not a thing is wrong with it. It was the best seat for comfort. I made it on a 2700 mile drive with few complaints from my... Read full review »

Pros 5 point harness, seat goes up to 80 lbs.
Cons Seat is too upright, even when in reclined position.
Recommended it? No

I bought this seat based on recommendations from two friends who had this seat for their children. My son was 9 months old and weighed 17 lbs. This seat states that it is for children 5-80 lbs.
When I had this seat in full recline, it still sat straight up in the car. When my son fell asleep,... Read full review »

Pros Grows with your child, 5-point harness system, great value for the price
Cons A tight squeeze for front-seat passengers when fully reclined in infant position
Recommended it? Yes

What? Save money on the Cosco Alpha Omega? How about 30 bucks! That's right! I did some extensive research on prices and found that the major stores in my area were asking between $129 and $130 for the Alpha Omega, but at my local Costco they are selling it for $99. It appears to be an item that... Read full review »

Cons Installation, Installation, Installation!!!!!!!! Should come with warning that it does...
Recommended it? No

I just bought this item over the weekend and neither I nor my husband could get the car seat tight enough while rear facing. I'm very upset that the base only has one place to weave the lap belt through. If there was another place to weave the belt through for rear facing I feel that the seat would... Read full review »
