Pros convertible
Cons price
Recommended it? Yes

I have bought 3 car seats. The Alpha Omega is by far the best around. It fit perfectly into my Camry. I love the 3 position angle of the seat, the comfort for my child, and the versatility for various weight classes.

The seat is rear facing up to 35 lbs. I changed mine to forward facing... Read full review »

Pros Easily adjusts, never have to buy another car seat for this child.
Cons It was a little pricey and a bit large.
Recommended it? Yes

When I was pregnant with our first child I spent a lot of time on the internet searching for the best baby products. When I found the Cosco Alpha Omega car seat I was a little skeptical since it claimed to safely restrain a 35 lb. child rear facing but decided to check it out anyway. I had heard a... Pros Safe, comfortable, easy to install/adjust and attractive!
Cons somewhat large
Recommended it? Yes

*Please note: There seems to be some confusion as to what seat this is. This seat is NOT the Eddie Bauer three in one seat. It is a Cosco Eddie Bauer Alpha Omega in Leather.

I have not written in quite some time, however I feel this seat needs some praise. Although I love the ease of... Read full review »

Pros It does it's job in a crash!!
Cons Straps can get twisted under the padded strap pads.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased the Alpha Omega carseat when my daughter was 9 months old. She was large for her age and it is difficult to find a carseat that be used in a reverse direction for children over 20 lbs in Canada. At that time, the only seat was Cosco's Alpha Omega. It was pricey at $199.00 Canadian but... Read full review »

For those that are frugal and safety conscious, you understand well that sometimes, you have to spend more to get the most for your money. That is certainly the case with this carseat.

Many infants today are reaching the magical "20 lbs" mark well before their first birthdays. The danger... Read full review »

Pros "grows" with my child, easy to use, worth the extra money
Cons not compatible for a 2-door vehicle
Recommended it? Yes

As a person who LOVES merchandise that "grows" with my child, this car seat appears to be it! When it was time to move up from the infant carrier I was using, I looked at many different car seats. I found the Alpha Omega to be the carseat that would allow me the most for my money.

We bought the first AO at a military exchange in April of 2002 for our then 11th month old daughter. It is an overhead shield model, which was the only one I could find at the time. About 10 months later in Feb of 03 we bought our 2nd AO at a Babies-r-Us for our then 5 month old. This one is a five... Read full review »

Our son is now 6 months old. We started looking for a car seat when I was first pregnant. I liked the sound of some of the car seats that converted for 3 stages, but was concerned about some of this type after hearing a news article that some had design flaws but were still on the market... Pros Stylish design, easy shoulder harness adjustment, 5-pt belt
Cons Useless recline, harness tensioning strap binds, twisty harness. Sold it after 2.5 years.

I purchased my Alpha Omega car seat at Walmart in Canada in August 2001 when our first daughter outgrew her infant seat.

WHY WE BOUGHT IT

1. Limited opportunity to compare with other products: Frankly, in our geographic location, selection of car seats that you can see and touch... Read full review »
