A good seat for the money

byshumi_sophie01 Aug 26, 2003

Pros Great features, reasonable price, high quality
Cons Straps tangle, buckle can be a pain, not as nice as the Britax
Recommended it? Yes

We bought an Alpha Omega for our second car. It's a nice seat with plenty of great features, the strap adjustment is really nice. Unfortunately we got a deal on a Britax Roundabout and realize that our son is worth the extra money for the Roundabout.

The material is nice but on trips our... Read full review »

Alpha Omega - Great buy

bycapitaine Aug 14, 2003

Pros Good 3 in 1, comfortable, easy to convert and adjust, 5 point harness.
Cons Straps twist (does not bother me if your careful), large for rear-facing.
Recommended it? Yes

I spent a lot of time searching for the best infant car seat for my first child, I did not for my stroller and I hate it...and I am picky. So after reading reviews my husband said "Do not repeat the same mistake as the stroller so be sure 100% before buying." I stopped looking after I saw the Alpha... Read full review »

Pros Cost, 5 point harness, easy to adjust
Cons Can be difficult to install rear facing
Recommended it? Yes

We bought this carseat after my Son got too big for his last seat. He was still under 22 pounds so I attempted to install it rear facing. Our car has a shoulder belt so it was a pain to install, there was barely enough belt to go through the back of the carseat!
It was easier to install in my... Read full review »

Alpha Omega - Your Child is Completely Safe!

bybunibble Jul 25, 2001

Pros You don't have to re-thread the belt as the child grows.
Cons It doesn't fit well in small cars and it doesn't recline far enough.
Recommended it? Yes

What sold me on this car seat? The fact that you don't have to re-thread the belt as the child grows. The makers have ingeniously designed the back to slide up and down in five different positions (the last one is for use as a booster seat only). As your child grows, just slide the back up to the... Daughter is safe from beginning to end

Pros Convertible from infant through booster, color, reclining feature
Cons bulky
Recommended it? Yes

When my daughter got too big for her infant carseat/carrier, I knew it was time to upgrade.

At first I looked at convertible seats, but then I discovered the Alpha Omega. To me, it seemed to be the logical solution. Sure, it costs more (ranging from $130 to $150,depending on the store),... Read full review »

Flimsy Straps Reason Enough To Avoid This Seat

bybosframes Mar 17, 2001
9 Helpfuls 10 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? 3 Comments
Pros Only car seat you need to buy
Cons Straps tangle easily, unacceptable seat movement, some parts not well designed.
Recommended it? No

Recently my wife and I decided to purchase another car seat for our 18 month old daughter. Our only other experience was with a Britax Roundabout, which we love. We decided to try the Alpha Omega seat out as reviews and salespeople generally recommended them highly.

There were some nice... Read full review »

Highly Recommended!

Pros Very comfortable and sturdy. Can be used for air travel.
Cons Rear facing, reclined position is difficult. This can be a problem in some vehicles.
Recommended it? Yes

This car seat has to be one of the most recommended car seats available for the money. It is designed to be used for both car and air travel, which is a nice feature. The seat is well padded providing good comfort for your child. Once my son reached 20 lbs (at 6 months old), I had to move him to a... Read full review »

Definitely worth a look!

Pros Reasonably priced, 5 point harness, convertible
Cons Can't be used as an infant carrier
Recommended it? Yes

When my parents came to visit, they wanted to buy some things for the baby. I already had a carseat/stroller combo but knew that wouldn't last forever. I started researching convertible carseat's and was very pleased with reviews of the Cosco Alpha Omega 3 in 1. I shopped and compared prices and... Read full review »

Great seat, but falling apart already

Pros very comfy and convenient
Cons falling apart already
Recommended it? No

I have mixed views on this car seat. If I would have written this review before yesterday, I would have had only good things to say about it. The idea that you only have to buy one car seat for the duration of your child's need of one is wonderful. The car seat can be used as rear facing for... Read full review »

BLECH!!!!

bychrissycoole Mar 28, 2004

Pros Well padded, can adjust harness height easily without rethreading.
Cons Expensive, cumbersome, poor instruction manual.
Recommended it? No

***Please note: I have never actually used this as a car seat. I was so unimpressed by the seeming difficulty in use/adjustments compared to other seats I've used, so I returned it without ever using it. However, I do feel very strongly that this seat is a lot more complicated and cumbersome than... Read full review »
