A worthy sequel to Chrono Trigger.
To be honest, I saw the strange looking characters in the previews and didn't think this could live up to the original. Still, I went with the good reviews (mostly 4.5/5 at gamepro, etc.) and bought the game the day it came out.
So after half a week of gameplay, here's what I've got to...

Chrono Crossing the Boundaries of a normal RPG
Wow. This story is mind boggling, Gameplay is solid, Battle system is definitely new, and 2 definitive endings (one really hard to get, but easy if you know how to get it). This all adds up to one of the greatest RPGs ever.
You start off the story with 3 people in your group in a...

Serge in it's not such a wonderful life
I got this when I was at the store looking for final fantasy, well the store was all out so I search the bargain bin. Found this gem for 15 dollars and decided to buy it. Not having played the original Chrono Trigger I did not know what to expect. Well so far this has been the best 15 dollars I... Read full review »
The soundtrack alone is worth the money.
I wrote this whole thing while SmackDown was on and The Rock was whooping Booker T's butt, so I get a little tough and bitter with this review, but hey, it captures my sentiments exactly.
Sound & Music:
This game has got to be looked upon as a standard setter for what game music...

Sigh, Alas poor sequel, I imagined thee well?
From my title you might think I disliked Chrono Cross greatly. Well, you would be wrong, I loved this game, but I won?t go without everyone knowing why I didn?t like it?
It?s a sequel, so?
Chrono Cross is the Squaresoft sequel to the previous title in the ?Chrono? series ?Chrono...

What FF9 should have been
I was looking to pick up this game when it first came out but decided to wait on it till for a bit till the price dropped. I had never played ChronoTrigger but heard good things about it. When I started to actually play it I found myself engrossed with it constantly on it. It had everything a look... Read full review »
Is This Game Really Great? Only Time Will Tell...
As everyone knows, Square's "sequels" never actually continue the story. They only get bigger and better than ever imagined, and will leave even the most hardcore gamers gawking and begging for more. This game doesn't break that tradition.
RPGs have come a long way from their 8 and 16-bit...

Sequel to Chrono Trigger
The sequel to Chrono Trigger is here, and while the game does have ties with the original, there seems to be a whole different concept to the game. In Chrono Trigger for the SNES, you were travelling through time and now, you are travelling through 2 alternate universes.
The graphics for...

Can a non-Final Fantasy game be this good?
Being part-way through this game myself, I'm thinking that this could be the game that Final Fantasy IX (released in November) may not be able to beat. A complex, but easy-to-use battle system, is one that has not been seen before. Magic use is a lot different too, most spells can be used only... Read full review »
Chrono Cross: It should have been great.
Chances are you haven't been able to get to this rating without reading at least two five star reviews from the major gaming media. Hell, chances are you already bought the game: It bears the mark of Squaresoft, probably the most favored console company at the moment, and it's the sequel to Chrono... Read full review »
