Good Mileage, Scary Ride
I bought my 2001 Chevy Tracker used in August '03 so I have had it 15 months. It was a steal at $5700 and only 32K miles. The wife wanted an SUV along the Tahoe or Explorer lines but I talked her into trying out the Tracker. She loves it. It still is no Tahoe or Explorer let me tell you but for the... Read full review »
2001 Chevrolet Tracker ? The End of an era
Chevrolet introduced the Tracker in 1989 as the Geo Tracker – This mini-Ute was originally manufactured in Japan for one year until 1990 when production shifted to the Canadian GM/Suzuki Joint Cami-Motors manufacturing facility. The Tracker shared it's chassis with the Suzuki Sidekick/ Vitara, and... Read full review »
2001 chevy tracker
Just bought a used tracker 2wd with 131k miles. It looks and runs great to 8 yrs old. The ride is stiff, bumpy and choppy.I get nauseated if traveling over 10 miles. Power is good for around town driving but, not nearly adequate for the interstate or passing. The little 2Litre struggles to maintain... Read full review »
Good car for what you pay
This is an excellent car, provided you don't expect awesome features found in more expensive SUVs. It is easy to drive, has good fuel consumption, and is fairly comfortable.
the version I got, the 2.0L, 4 seats, has many extras you will probably like: central lock/unlock, power steering, power...

Good value for a lot of car
Purchased used (GM program car)with 63,000 miles on it. LT model. Pearlesscent white paint with silver accents and running boards caught our eye. A sharp looking car! I wanted my wife's GEO Metro for the gas mileage (had to get rid of my G20 conversion van for that reason) and my wife wanted... Read full review »
I call her Sybill - Chevy Tracker 2001
The main reason I've hung this moniker on her is because she's a 4x4, so in reality she can change her personality at the flip of a switch. Other than that, Sybill is a pretty docile creature.
After 12 dedicated years I realized that it was time to let my little zip-mobile, Barbie,...

This is a good vehicle, if inexpensive is your concern ...
I am currently leasing one of these, and i think that it holds up well, no problems yet, but it is, well, kind of a dull vehicle. But like i said, no problems Read full review »
ZR2 2 Door Tracker Convertible fun mobile.
My wife and I went looking for a car for her to drive so she could go back to work. We walked past this thing three times before stopping. They take a little getting used to, but we've had it for over a year now and she still loves it. Yes it is small and has a choppy ride on the highway, but man... Read full review »
Affordable SUV
This SUV is perfect for someone looking for all the options at minimum price. Can get 4WD, V-6 engine and all automatic options for less than most SUV's. CD player comes standard. Can reduce options (engine size, etc.) if looking to lower cost, but best value comes with the full package. Noticeable... Read full review »
2K1 ZR2
My wife and I just happened across this little beast one day, and it's looks really caught our eyes! There wasn't a ZR2 on the lot at the time, so we test drove one of the 4-bangers, and I must say that I was impressed. Once we started talking with the dealer, we found out about the ZR2, and... Tracker convertible
Five months ago we purchased a 2001 Tracker convertible to pull behind our motorhome. We were very surprised and pleased with this vehicle. A relative has a 96 tracker for the same purpose and the difference between these years are night and day. The new body style of the Tracker is much more... Read full review »
A True Compact SUV
The Tracker ZR2 Wagon is a popular compact SUV from Chevrolet. With a boxy design, the Tracker is more cute than rugged. With four doors and a V-6 engine, this Tracker is easy to maneuver and it's size is an advantage when it comes to parking. Chevy's Tracker is an economical option for those... Read full review »
Great car for the price
A have the 4x4 2001 4 door Chevy Tracker. It's the base model with the power windows, power locks, and luggage rack added to it. I have had it since January and it has been a great suv since. I have had to use the four wheel drive once so far. It was really icy and it didn't slide or anything. I... Read full review »
Sharp Little SUV
I've had the 2001 Tracker LT for a little more than a month now and I am very pleased with the vehicle. Thus far, I have found no defects with the vehicle.
When I first saw the 2001 Tracker at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, its good looks and nice array of features...

A Good Value, A nice ride.
Well I finally took the plunge and bought a new vehicle. After months of research (and reading opinions) on different cars & SUV's I finally settled on the Chevy Tracker. So far I really like it.
I got a 4 cylinder, 2.0 liter engine, which I have noticed is a little slow. There is a...

Now my wife wants one....
Ok, I have an aging Geo Metro, 94 2 door. Nice car for reliability but no airbags and with the traffic around Seattle being dangerous at best, I decided I needed something a bit more substantial to commute in. I commute 45 miles one-way so gas mileage was a real consideration for me. At first I had... Read full review »
suv or sports car you br the judge
I just bought a 2001 Tracker and have found it to be a great suv. It's handling is top notch considering its size and center of gravity .Powered by a 2.0 liter 4cyl it does have a little bit of a lagging problem when merging onto the express way .Gas mileage is good for this weight and size class of... Tracker 4 x 2 2 door
My wife and I bought a 2001 Chevy Tracker 2 door 4 x 2. I think that may be where we made our mistake. The salesman never told us that it has a shorter wheelbase than the 4 door ( which was the only thing we test drove because it was the only type that the dealer had available in his inventory )... The Best Buy for MY MONEY!!
I really like my new Tracker, I just keep finding great features that I couldn't find in other cars. I like the way the hi-beams are set, the way the stereo is adjusted, the great center console, and more. It gets great mpg, and maintenance is a breeze.
It rides great and has a lot of...
