best truck I have ever bought
I have bought two 98 tahoes and they both have proven to be very dependable for both me and my wife . I bought my first in 98 and the only thing I have had to change was the alternator. I just recently bought my second and its in beater condition then my first , some one lost out on a great truck. Read full review »
Wow
I got this car for a short time due to one of my cars being in the auto body ( and GOD KNOWS how long that can take.) Anyways, here is what I thought:
Interior Size: I didnt choose the 3rd row, however it was very roomy in the second row of seats. Anyone with car seats could easily...

"I LOVE MY TAHOE"
"I LOVE MY TAHOE" What more can I say, I purchased this rig last April it had 94,000 and it just rolled over to 120,000 practically worry free. This rig went from Spokane WA to Amarillo, TX two weeks after I bought it and it did wonderfully. I would recommend this rig to anyone who wants room,... Read full review »
Ideal Truck
We bought our 98 Chevy Tahoe in 99 with a little over 20k miles on it. It is white, 4 door, 4 WD with auto mode and features a beastly 5.7L vortec V8.
Overall it is a very smooth and pleasent truck to travel in especially on long trips. The large windows and roomy interior make the truck feel...

Tahoe is above the rest in the suv segment
I purchased a cherry red chevy tahoe three years ago from a used car dealer, it had 55,000 miles on it, and i've put 30,000 more miles on it. This tahoe is the most dependable vehicle i have ever owned, It is also stylish, and it can get up to high speeds very quickly. It has enough cargo room to... Read full review »
OK but shouldn't be seen at this price
After spending nearly $30,000 for a vehicle I would expect it to perform better than average. This has not been the case for my 98 LT 4x4. Since day one the brakes have been woefully insufficient for a vehicle of this size. The front rotors matched with the rear drums just aren't large enough to... Read full review »
Cadillac of SUV's
I love my Chevy Tahoe, and so does my husband love it. We leased it in 1997 as a new vehicle, and it has 50,000 miles on it now. We have taken it on several long trips and it is very comfortable and smooth, and dependable. I feel safe in this vehicle also, I might add. It is roomy , yet not too... Read full review »
A Modern Classic
The 1998 Chevy Tahoe was one of the first trucks that I had bought. When I test drove it the thing I noticed immediately was the power of the engine. The Tahoe has the same exact engine as the Suburban, but it is lighter of course, which offers much more power. I routinely drive long distances on... Read full review »
Dream SUV
I had a 1 ton Chevy truck which I loved but decided groceries and passengers were more important so I bought a Tahoe. There is a bad side to all of this comfort and quiet. When my husband finally drives it, I fall asleep seconds into the ride. A friend of mine drove it and kept thinking it died... Read full review »
"Sharp & Stylish"
I just had to pop in here and give my opinion.
My 1998 Tahoe is the best vehicle I have ever had. It is comfortable, spacious and gets out of it's own way fast.
I bought this truck new in 1997 and it has never been back to the dealership for anything but routine oil changes. My husband was...

"Best Ever" Highly Recommended :)
We bought our 1998 Tahoe new.
When shopping for a new vehicle we test drove the Tahoe. That is all it took to convince us it was the SUV we wanted.
The love affair with this Tahoe has not ended. We love the ride it gives. The dependability it provides, and of course the great appearance...

Comfortable, Reliable, Durable
We bought a Tahoe for the spaciousness it provides. I also loved that it was durable yet still pretty and luxurious. My Tahoe has only had to go to the shop once- for a brake problem with the brake pads. It runs like a beauty after we bought it used, we do though have regular matinence checks. We... To Keep or Not to Keep!!
My husband and I leased a new 98 Tahoe because I wanted a 4-wheel drive vehicle for the winter and we needed something heavy duty to pull our 27'travel trailer. The Tahoe handles great in the snow and it also pulls our trailer without a problem. The back seats fold down and allow us to haul our... Read full review »
Love it, but it has downsides
We purchased the Tahoe in 1998....We love it..we have driven coast to coast with it and it handles beautifully. I have 4 girls but at the time of purchase i had only 3. Right now we are CRAMPED for space. I also fear at time the idea of "tipping" over...although i understand it is unlikely it still... Read full review »
The SUV with the Most
The Chevy Tahoe is the perfect car for someone who wants more than a Blazer but something not as big as a Suburban. It has a spacious interior, large cargo bay, and leather seats. The dashboard is well-designed with all the buttons easily accessible and convenient. It has great 4-wheel traction and... Read full review »
All Around Vehicle
I am the proud owner of my second Chevrolet Tahoe. I purchased my first one in 1995, the first year they were made as the full-sized SUV. It had previously been known as the K-5 Blazer. With 4 doors and a folding rear seat, it had plenty of room for all my antique auction treasures as well as... Read full review »
I love my truck
I love the way my '98 Tahoe looks and handles. I have put 60k miles on it in two years.
It's got plenty of power, corners great and stops well.
The AM/FM Cassette/CD sound system is good. (I did have to have a speaker replaced, but it was covered by warranty.)
I don't...
