CELESTRON C8-SGT
This is a wonderful scope. Compact enough to transport and take to dark places. This is not a cheap or inexpensive scope by any means. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. Very Nice
This is a real nice scope that gives nice clean views. I'd prefer a bit more aperature (who wouldn't) but for the price you will get some very nice viewing. Even in my backyard with the five street lights bleaching things out I can still get good detail on some of the brighter deep space objects... Read full review »
Excellent Scope
People who run out and buy these scopes when first released show little experience with the market. ALWAYS wait a year or more to buy. I even apply this rule to digital cameras with a 6 month rule. Wait until bugs are worked out!

Great Scope!

Very Immature Product
I picked the C8SGT because it had a sturdier mount than Celestron's Cxi series. This in combination with an equatorial mount and a sturdy tripod would make it better for astrophotography than say a Cxi or a Meade LXD55.
