The initial cost of this printer was good but the ink costs and usage are outrageous. No aftermarket ink cartridges exist for this model so you are forced to pay the exorbitant prices of the Canon ink. Make sure to check if aftermarket ink is available when you research your printer purchase. I did not and now I am paying big time for ink.
