The Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a home/office printer for a cheap price that will serve as a photo printer as well, you have found it.
When I got Cannon MP780, I thought that it was going to take too much space on my desk. Surprisingly, it took up just a few additional inches compared to my old Epson 820 Color Printer. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely taller, but the footprint itself is not bad at all.
I have done everything with this printer except receive faxes, but sent plenty. It works great. The only feature that is so so is the Automatic Document Feeder. After making 5 copies using it, I realized that it fed the originals a little off center and caused some cropping. If you have a regular letter with 1 inch borders, you will not have this problem.
Since I have a 6 month old son, I take lots of pictures. With the Epson Printer, I had to buy cartridges regularly and they had streaking and drying issues after not using them for a period of a week or so. Not with this product. I've had it for 2 months now and still have not gone to the Tools screen for the cartridge cleaning. The pictures that it produces are truly store bought quality. I used to work in wedding photography and would notice incorrect tints or pixelation due to the printer. There were no problems at all.
This was the best $250 that I spent.
