Pros Low inital cost, low ink cost, but high quality print.
Cons A little slow and a little loud when loading paper.
Recommended it? Yes

This is a recent addition to my home office that I picked up as an insurance replacement for an old Canon BJC-4000 that was damaged in our basement flood. I had intended to use it for greetings cards and light color print tasks but after printing a full page photo with it, I was inclined to use it... Read full review »

The Meat and Potatoes:

This page gives us the specs for the Canon Pixma iP1500 http://www.canon-europe.com/For_Home/Product_Finder/Printers/Bubble_Jet/PIXMA_iP1500

Why it's under Bubble Jet printers, I have no idea, but the photo looks exactly like my Canon Pixma iP1500, which... Read full review »

Sorry Canon, But I'd Rather Throw The IP1500 Into A Cannon Than Use It

byspongebag7 Jun 5, 2006

Pros Fast print speed, easy to use, cheap ink
Cons Not impressed with print quality, noisy, questionable construction quality, annoying feed
Recommended it? No

When I bought my T3882 at Office Depot, it came with a bundled Canon IP1500. At the time, I still had and still have a working HP PSC1315 all-in-one. It's a decent printer but I thought that it did the weirdest stuff like not cancelling print jobs and re-installing drivers for no reason. I kept the... Read full review »

Pros Cheap to purchase, cheap to operate, good results
Cons Slow
Recommended it? Yes

This printer was purchased for use by my 5 year old daughter who loves to print. In searching for a printer, I looked for one that was cheap to purchase, cheap to operate, and generated reasonable printing results.

At the present time, these printers are being given away for free with the... Read full review »

My printer had just given up on me and I had to get a new one. After going to a few stores and checking out their selection, I decided on this model, and I'm glad I did.

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this printer. I printed some 4X6 pictures just to test it out and they came... Read full review »

Pros Cheap, fastish speed, excellent quality, excellent Canon software
Cons Slightly noisy, missing an output tray
Recommended it? Yes

I picked up this printer at a local computer store for AUD$125, (although I'm sure it's much cheaper in the States) which is a pretty good price for a budget printer in Australia, sort of a strata above the very budget inkjets.

Being a student, I used to own a Epson C41, but this was... Read full review »

Cons only fair quality photos, uses ink very quickly

I needed a small, inexpensive yet good quality printer for photos that I use as reference for my oil painting projects. I also wanted one that I could use to print out some decent photos for my family album, and preferably one whose ink doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Well, I found the Canon PIXMA... Pros Ink cheap to buy and printing quality great.
Cons small ink cartridges and prone to smudging when printing

I purchased the Canon Pixma ip1500 a little over a year ago. I loved it and found it made beautiful prints. Then, a few months later, the printing seemed faded in places and I contacted Canon. As it was still under warranty, they decided the problem was the printer heads and sent me out a new set... Read full review »
