I brought this the day after Christmas. Took only an hour or less to set this baby up and started printing photos for the first time in my life. The quick set up guide was a great mapping tool for dummies like me. It was a breeze and worth every minute bonding with it. I printed out a few photos even without reading about switching paper modes to photo pro or using the 'high quality' setting for a true picture look. So far, I love it and am happy with it - even ordered supplies from that auction site and different brands of photo paper - in matte and glossy - to experiment before I get too serious about my prints. Gee I love Canon.
UPDATE - Love this printer so much, went to EBAY and brought same printer for $15, $20 s/h. I want a backup printer I can take on summer week-long trips or to a friend's house party. I've been buying my genuine Canon ink tanks on EBAY cheap. Also a lot of different photo papers there as well to experiment which one are better suited for the photographs I'm printing out.
