Canon Optura Xi Mini DV Camcorder

I bought the camera last December after first trying the smaller Panasonic 3ccd camera and now I'm definetly glad I got this one. Since I got the Xi I have forgotten my Nikon SLR camera and I take digital pictures like crazy. I have a 1 year old at home and having easy access to my pictures immediately is wonderful. The camera is small enough to take along to the park, the beach, the zoo, etc and quality pictures or video are only a push of a button away. I obviously am an amateur and for my type of use this camera is great! I only have one problem right now- I can't figure out how to adjust the color (white balance, I guess). My purple and pink type colors are somewhat off. The purple looks more like blue than purple and the bright pink (my daughter has a lot of pink clothes) is more of a soft, pastel pink. I guess I will have to do some research to find out if I can correct this problem, but otherwise the quality of the video is terrific! We own a widescreen TV and this camera does well making video for widescreen.
