Canon's Vixia: Look ma' -- no tape. ;-)
HD Camcorders have rapidly evolved since they first surfaced about 3 years ago. In fact, I got one of the first serious consumer HD cameras (Canon's HV-10) and was all happy with it. sharp image but slow autofocus
i upgraded from a canon mv500 (minidv,entry level price) to this canon hfs100 (sd card,mid level price): BIG image quality improvement.
image is too often out of focus (the autofocus is too slow) it is acceptable but irritating.
also i still notice there are too many...
