A Camera for a Student
Affordable
Easy-to-use
Variety of Lens
Bat at low exposure
Bad at moving shots
Size
The Bottom Line:
Get it if your'e a student aspiring to be a photographer. All the setting you learn in school and more and the price is not intimidating.
The Canon Rebel T2i.
This is my first DSLR I bought and I am loving it. As a high school student, the prices wasn't scary and for the price, it is a very nice buy. I'm not sure what I can't do with it. You can program it to take HDR photos, and even take awesome video shots with it.
Even if you are just looking for a camera this camera is a good place to start. The auto focus and stabilzing lens that comes with the body is amazing. You can literally point and shoot, but if you want to take more manual shots, you can!
Also, the lenses are all interchangeable. What that means is that you can go to a camea shop, perhaps rent a $2000 Canon lens and use it without any problem!
The battery life is amazing! Both the charge and running life. You could charge the battery in abuot 1 to 2 hours and it will last for at least 6 hours or more if you're conservative.
Finally, the weight. Although the lenses may be heavy, the camera body is quite light. However the bulkiness of it makes it very awkward to carry around. You either have to buy a small camera bag or hang it over your shoudlers.
