Mega Man the epic adventure series

Mega Man
Perhaps one of the greatest game ever created was Mega man. But, it was just not one game in a series it was an epic master piece of action adventure. Long forgotten as the weaker action role playing games known as battle chip network quickly rushed out another game it felt as though the history of Mega Man would be forgotten by the newer generation of gamers. The Anniversary collection has come back to restore the grace and honor that it once held. With the game completely restored to their glory it sports the series one through eight along with two bonus games. Hidden really though just have to unlock them yourself.

The story is completely restored from the days of old. As this stands with the story split up over eight games it is more of an epic action adventure game. Which is long missing as many games have switched to action role playing. The enemies are perfect the way that they should be from Cut man, to Wood man, and including even Needle man. Prompts me to consider this is the best story arc of an epic collection ever unleashed on the Game Cube. Returning from the depths are Dr. Wily the evil and uncaring enemy of Mega man and Dr. Light the kind, caring, and helping soul continually trying to help Mega man.

Sometimes the controls are a major pain for old school gamers such as myself. There are problems that lie in the factors of the start button suddenly becoming a menu button. On weather to quit, continue, or get a quick tip from your allies. Thanks a lot if I wanted to quit the game or restart go to the title menu I would have pushed the reset button! Myself with my own two hands alas, though the controls are improved with the benefits of switching weapons on the fly, having a three shot burst added to your arm cannon, and even though average at least you can adjust to the controls easily enough.

All the sounds in their true glory are perfectly crafted and everything is awesome. This brings back memories of hours and hours trying in a desperate rush through Quick Man's stage. Every musical piece is perfectly restored and placed into this the greatest collection ever of Mega Man.

The major gripe lies on controls and that is all. Otherwise, this perfectly shows the nature and history of the REAL Mega Man and not the cheap rip off material featured in the battle chip network. Say, what you will when looking the chip network it's all Greek to me. I'd rather be sat down with the 2-D graphics and enjoy hours of blasting through the past.
