None that I noticed
caused itchy, red, goopy and gritty eyes<br>are not comfortable to wear
The Bottom Line:
I do not recommend these lenses as they are uncomfortable and will likely leave you with serious eye discomfort if not an eye infection
For the past 8 or so years I have been wearing Focus Night and Day lenses with not one problem and I have never had an eye infection. Those lenses were so comfortable I sometimes forgot that I was wearing contacts. Now CIBA Vision has replaced them with Air Optix Night and Day Aqua and from day one I had problems. The very first morning after I had slept in them I could not even open my eyes as they had been glued shut by mucus. Throughout the course of the first day, my eyes were itchy, red and gritty. By day 2 I had to take them out and revert to my prescription glasses because I had a full blown eye infection. Additionally, they did not fit well at all, because I was always aware that I had something alien in my eyes.
I gave it the benefit of the doubt and after two full weeks of wearing my glasses, I put in a new pair. I made sure that all hygiene requirements were followed, in the event that my infection was due to my mishandling the lenses. And guess what? Same story, only a different day.
I don't know how they tested these lenses, but whatever they did could not have been accurate, because these lenses are a hazard to eye health. I also see where quite a number of persons also have had similar problems with these lenses. I do not recommend them at all.
