The Bottom Line:
Goes from great, to good, to O.K., to horrible in a matter of about a year.
I've always had hand-held vacuums like this. I find them to be so handy when I don't want to get my regular vacuum out. I got this one about a year and a half ago and I use it almost daily. At first I loved this dust buster. It was so powerful, easy to use, easy to empty, kept it's charge for a long time, and so on. I loved that I could mount the charger in my laundry room for easy storage and access. I was very impressed.
Well, about a year after purchasing it, I began to notice it wasn't sucking and strongly as it used to. It left behind a lot of stuff that it just simply couldn't pick up. Now after a bout a year and a half it's practically useless. When I put my hand up to it when it's on, I can't really even feel any suction at all. Not to mention, I have only about 1 minute after I take it off the charger until I can hear it start to lose it's power. In about 3 minutes it's totally dead.
I can't help but wonder how long the other reviewers, who rave about this product, have had it. Like I said, at first I loved it too and I would have given it a great review back then. I simply can't rate this product very high at this point because I'm very disappointed in it's life span. Why is it that things aren't made to last these days? Do they really expect us to go out and buy a new one every year? I remember my mother had one Black and Decker dust buster for most of my childhood. Things just don't last the way they used to.
