I'd been waffling about buying a new driver, but decided that my $500 would be better spent on something that might actually help my game. I found it in the Bushnell Yardage Pro Tour XL.
The scan mode is very helpful in picking up a small target. like a flag, that is 200+ yards away. Closer in, it has been a real help in club selection. I'm a 14 handicap. I use three wedges, ranging in distance from 125 yards to 100 yards. Knowing the exact yardage makes club selection a snap.
I know it seems like an expensive toy, and it probably is, but in my mind its better than wasting $500 on a new driver that might add a few yards off the tee.
