Bought unit for my nephew for his archery practice with 3D
and range shooting. Basic unit, works well in Sunny and cloudy days, but it is NOT the weatherproof model. Get the "lend" model for that and be prepared to spend $350 for the Legend Model too. This model Yardage Pro Trophy runs between 200-250 retail 165-200 on Ebay. I bought him a factory demo model and he is happy with it. Uses 1 easy to access 9Volt battery.
Only difficulty he ever expressed to me was that when hunting and 25-30 ft up a tree holding it with one hand and trying to get unit stabilized could prove difficult. Lucky for me I am not able to get 25 ft up a tree so I don't have that difficulty anymore. I hunt from the ground or a blind.
