I am a bowhunter and in this sport the name of the game is Yardage Estimation. A difference between 30 yards and 35 yards is a successful hunt or a dissapointing one! This is the least expensive laser rangefinder on the market and even without any bells and whistles, is perfect for any ranging need up to 200 yards. Anything past that distance, I have found is harder to get a reading to. Bowhunting, is a 20-30 yard sport so even 100 yards is overkill. The Bushnell fits in your shirt pocket, and uses a 9v battery. I think you will like it.
