Sounded too good to be true!

This would have been a wonderful machine, if and when it worked.

Brother has wonderful products, this wasn't one of them.

The Bottom Line:
Avoid it unless you get it from a nearby dealer that you can run to every day, you'll need it.
It was. I have had nothing but problems with this machine. The first one would freeze up when I used stubby cone thread with the adapter. The thread wrapped around the spool holder which pulled the thread tight and cause me to pop needles left and right. The guy at the sewing place said it was me. Well, it wasn't, so they sent another one and it is no better. Right now, it won't feed the fabric. I also just discovered that the reverse button doesn't work. Yesterday, none of the regular stitches worked, the tension was too tight and I wasn't able to loosen it enough to sew. Today, it won't feed. All kinds of things have gone wrong, I have never been able to just sit and sew with it. I'm really fed up. Like the other ladies, it would cost me to send it for repair because I got it on line. I'm going to see if I can get an estimate on repair or at least to see what the problem is.
I truly can't recommend this machine to anyone unless they buy it from a local dealer, that way they can run to them when a problem comes up.
