Read above. Every bit about this printer is a CON.

No
The Bottom Line:
Do not buy. Stay Away. Wash hands if you touch a Brother printer! :-) Seriously, they are a drain on your pocket
This printer has been designed to make you buy ink so frequently you will not know what hit you. Spend a few more bucks now and get a Dell.
These printers (yes all inkjets that Brother makes) run out of ink very quick. They come with 4 cartridges and you would think that if you run out of (say) Cyan, then you can buy a Cyan and all is good. It does NOT work that way. The printer wants you to then replace ALL inks. Easily a 50 dollar expense and what if it happens every couple of months! I do not print much and ink would just run out / even dries out if you do not use it!!!
Another big CON is that this printer will not do anything if it runs out of ink. I mean it will not even do a simple scan which requires no ink at all. Can you believe it?? I was shocked when I realized this and promptly trashed the printer. I then ordered a Dell (from their Outlet) and it is an awesome printer. The ink lasts really long. Do not know the count of pages it can print but 8 months have passed and no ink warnings yet! My printing needs have only increased and not decreased, so the Dell has already paid itself off. Ok I will cut it short now- DO NOT BUY BROTHER. I HATE BROTHER PRINTERS. I spent 15 minutes of my precious fall evening just to vent this out and make other users aware of the Brother scam.
