Cons Pricey ink supplies
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you dont plan on using it too often, or dont mind the costs, its a great printer. It prints nice documents. The fax and scan option are convenient.
I mean, its not the worse printer but the frustration over the cartridge price almost led me to throw it out the window. No really.

I've had it for maybe 6 months. I hardly ever print anything. When I do, its usually black. Last week I print ONE 27 page business plan. Half way through it ran out of black. I was shocked. But I told myself that I must have print some large document and forgotten. So off to the store I went. THIRTY DOLLARS! Are you kidding me? I shopped around - they werent kidding.

Now, my last printer was a Canon 350 Multifunction. The black cartridges were 6.99! So, I was not expecting $30. Damn why did I check my Canon with the luggage at the airport?

Anywho. I swallowed the pill and bought the cartridge. I reprint the plan from the beginning with its 5 or so color charts. And I'll be damned if it didnt run out of color. Now, this time I KNEW I hadnt been printing large color docs. But hey, for ANOTHER $33 dollars, I can replace all the cartridges, even though I can still see and hear the ink in them. SIXTY DOLLARS - TWO DAYS. Now it might last 3 - 6 months with regular use, maybe, maybe. But some how I dont think so.

The people with positive reviews must have gotten their printers from the happy people pile. The people who made my printer were angry.

Aside from that, its hard to open. It feels bulky or chunky. The parts dont fit smooth. It always feels like I have to almost break it to close it.

I think I bought this for $30 of of craigslist.com. I think he sold it so cheap because the ink costs were bankrupting him. If you get it cheap, and can find cheap ink or you are not fazed my a budget, then by all means get this printer. Otherwise, get a Canon. I think traditionally their products are less expensive and office depot or staples always has the off brand ink that will fit the canon printer for about half off what canon charges.
